The Licking River

Our river does more than cut the land in two.  

It's more than a stretch of water bordered by two banks of earth.  It's more than a winding path that eventually finds it's way to the Muskingum River, where, in tandem, the two rush into the vast expanse of the Ohio.  In Licking County, our river is like family, and we love it as such. 

Because of the undisturbed and undeveloped nature of the Licking River, please be advised that there are no canoe or kayak rental liveries on the river. You'll need to bring one along. Water safety should always be your priority, as the river is not monitored.
